07 OCTOBER 2019 - Department of Skills Development, Asian Academic Society for Vocational Education and Training (AASVET) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) jointly organised OSAIC 2019 to provide a platform to discuss critical issues on future of TVET occupational standards and qualification in the era of the digital economy. Recent innovative research and development in the Asian region and as well as in other parts of the world were shared and exchanged through this conference, with the hope to further advance the new knowledge and best practices especially with regard to the future of TVET Occupational Standards and Qualification in the Era of Digital Economy. 04 OCTOBER 2019, PUTRAJAYA - YB.M Kula Segaran, Minister of Human Resources, has conducted a town hall session with Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council, Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association, regarding issuing Withold Release Order towards a Malaysian Company. This session was also attended by the Government Authorities and from United States Embassy in Malaysia.

Kula Segaran, Minister of Human Resources Malaysia had a discussion with the participants on "Today's Workforce into the Future - Regulations & Policies" accompanied by Puan Nora Manaf, the Chairman of Human Resource Networking Group, during the AICB's Empowering Bankers Series - A Conversation with YB M. Kula Segaran, today in Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara, Kuala Lumpur. The meeting with the HR stakeholders from the banking industry discussed about redefined job roles through the emergence of automation. The importance of embracing Industry 4.0 and TVET was also shared in this meeting.
